Robert J. Steermann is an independent researcher working at the intersection of sustainability theory, systems ecology, and evolutionary anthropology.

His current work focuses on how cumulative cultural adaptation can outpace ecological feedback, and what structural changes would allow human ingenuity to remain adaptive without becoming destabilising.
